****
1. Sound the Horn
Cytat:
Sound the Horn for the light it has come to me
With give you get but with want you are never free
Cytat:
The form that fuels at the sight of infinity
The wall that cracked and spread it’s warmth on me
For my days were dark from the thoughts of insanity
And the lines that focused all my thought towards me
I chciałoby się, żeby tutaj nastąpiła jakaś przerwa. Chciałoby się.
Cytat:
And the arms that grab and hold and stroke
And the tongue whichc can caress
And the fingers which roam the pulse that pumps
Assurance towards all the rest
Cytat:
The arms that stretch the words which still believe
That the souls is real but is want for humanity
The hold that choked these lines away from me
Is a flailing grip on a lie that is now set free
And the arms that grab and hold and stroke
And the tongue whichc can caress
And the fingers which roam the pulse that pumps
Assurance towards all the rest
Drgający w tle bas, połamana perkusja, rzężenie gitary wprowadza klimat mogący budzić skojarzenia z At the Drive-In.
Cytat:
The questions form the answers
And the virus cause disasters
That the mouth transforms into a piercing scream
Consciously we regulate, subconsciously we formulate
Our nothingness into eternal needs
Krótkie przejście po garrach, ciepła gitara i ciepłe chórki. Wokal Meg Castellanos zdecydowanie wpływa korzystnie. I rzekomo Page’a Hamiltona, chociaż jego niezbyt słychać.
Cytat:
Oh, dreams
Oh, dreams
Ten sam patent. Bas drży w tle, perkusja akcentuje końcówki taktów, gitara praktycznie nieobecna.
Cytat:
Atomically we infiltrate
With open eyes we subjugate
To feed the ego’s every hungry need
The pebble lands to formulate
Mathematic strands annihilate
The answers that the waves wash out to see
Kamyczek ląduje by formułować, matematyka osiada na mieliźnie by niszczyć odpowiedzi, które fale zmywają wgłąb morza. No przynajmniej mnie.
Cytat:
Oh, dreams
Oh, dreams
2. Fall and Bound
Gdzieś ucieka ta energia z „Sound the Horn”, pojawia się melancholia, smutek.
Cytat:
The leaves are falling down
Our sunny days have gone
It’s fall abound as we’re winter bound
The rain it blankets you
It’s drops are falling ‘round
Falling down, cleansing ground
Wchodzi refren, pojawia się energia, czad.
Cytat:
Hybernating now, forming thoughts of how
Forever we fall
Breathing scent of snow, bitting days we’ve known
Forever we fall
Nieco nerwowo bas. I znowu zwrotka.
Cytat:
Our wounds have mended well
Our scabs have fallen around
Fallen around as we’re winter bound
The bitting air rolls in
It’s coldness turn us in
Falling around, forever bound
Cytat:
Hybernating now, forming thoughts of how
Forever we fall
Breathing scent of snow, bitting days we’ve known
Forever we fall
Refren bardziej żywiołowy, szalony niż za pierwszym razem. I znowu wyciszenie, niemalże balladowo:
Cytat:
And through broken eye we see
Our lives
In line
Powoli pojawia się rozpędzająca, choć delikatna perkusja.
Cytat:
And what’s holding on
It leaves
Behind, behind
Rozedrgane, energiczne, stonerowo-latynoskie solo. Brzęczące talerze, połamana perkusja.
Cytat:
Fall around, we’re falling around
Fall around, falling around
3. El Emplazado
Połamany riff, połamana, akcentująca perkusja, w tyle bas. Wszystko się nakręca i cichnie.
Cytat:
When the walls of confusion hale sucked life energy
When the last of your lies have dried on your tongue
When the cast of illusion tastes an awakening
Your life is half over now, remorseful one
Cytat:
When the silenie in shadows and fading memories
Points you towards implosion your mind goes gone
And your thoughts and frustrations turn to agony
And your death lays it’s eggs and soul moves on
Cytat:
No trace
No trace
No mark to be left on this world
Zaczyna się dziać, niepokojąco, głos wokalisty zaczyna drżeć, pojawia się w nim niepewność.
Cytat:
El Emplezado sin vida y razón
Tirado sin alma y razón
El Emplezado sin lengua y canción
Świetny bas i zjawiskowa perkusja.
4. Last Refrain
I znowu wraca temat z początku.
Cytat:
The pouring rain, our last refrain
The tears that meant something ‘till nothing remained
The memory, the only thread of you
I znowu wciskanie w podłogę. Ale wypada dobrze. Więc nie ma co się obrażać.
Cytat:
The flowers laid, the stone inlayed
The photo lay sullen, the smile it looked painted
The words were spread, a place to call a tomb
Depnięcie, troszku więcej energii. Ale nie za dużo.
Cytat:
Fall as you circle through summer and drain
Energy sunshine in snow and in rain
Cascading movements poetic and vain
At last we surrender to our final refrain – towards you
Koniec balladowej zwrotki, depnięcie, półkrzyczący wokal:
Cytat:
All your life buried away
Cytat:
Memories fall from grace
Lights telling something, nothing remains
The body gone, ash to dust to tomb
Depnięcie, melodyjne refrenowe
Cytat:
All your life buried away
Utwór kończy się sprzężeniem. Perkusyjnie – duuuużo talerzy.
5.
Cytat:
Focus on your hand lines feeding lines
Feeding sings to you
Veins feeding touch, touch feeding you
Turu. Turururu. Turururu. Brawa dla perkusisty!
Cytat:
Focus on your heand
One line life, one line health
Tiruriru leci krótkie solo.
Cytat:
Head touching heart
Left hand fate, right hand push
Solo, wcześniej przerwane, niniejszym zostaje dokończone. I dokończonym jest.
Cytat:
The five seeing eye, seeing mind
The five seeing eye, guiding mind
Kończy się ciepłe, jakieś takie jednak pozytywne solo. I zaczyna ponura część, ni zwrotką, ni refrenem nie będąca.
Cytat:
Holding my faith ‘till winds hale subsised
Holding my tongue so my thoughts can sumize
That the tyrants of energy were taking their toll
Stealing the winds from your sail
Solo zasadniczo przypominające wszystkie inne Totimosherskie solówki. Ale kto by się tym przejmował? Bardzo klimatycznie. I ten bas w tle!
Cytat:
For the virus infecting the hand and the eye
Testing your last touchy nerve
Laughing we left them
Dead weight has it’s place
We have now lifted this curse
On the Five
Seeing Eye, Seeing Mind
On the Five
Tara. Tararara. Tarara. Gitary idą jak szły. Ale przejścia na garach. Toż to robi wrażenie! I ten werbel!
6.
Gitara fajnie idzie, czuć pewien luz i znacznie pogodniejszy nastrój niż w poprzednim utworze. Bas dobrze akcentuje, bardzo dobre bębny. Lekkość, proszę państwa, lekkość!
Cytat:
The story of his life and his surroundings
The winds that came and blew his dreams away
As he tried to stretch his wings of understanding
And turn his wretched darkness into day
All he’d lost had left his life in ruins
Except what kept his sanity that day
The subtelties of family between us
The subtelties that turned his gloom away
Cytat:
Let us turn, turn away
The world that turned it’s back on him did say
The wonder of his world was torn
The day his childhood was born
A working stiff who worked till stiff
But let his heart illuminate his way
Znowu duuużo robi perkusja. I bas. Czego w wersji unplugged nie słychać.
Cytat:
The fields of hale that turn our fate
The putrid stench
The violence at hand
The decisions toward compassion to be made
By each end every hand
Jeśli to bas.
Cytat:
Let us walk away
Run
Dochodzą chórki w wykonaniu Meg, które naprawdę dodaję temu wszystkiemu uroku.
Cytat:
The wounds of your history served you well
The time to release them have come
The healing begins as we move along
The time we have left is not long
When the angry hand is dealt you
When a chance at choice has come
Vibrations that surround you
Cytat:
Love
7. Forever in Bone (Los Dos)
Smutno.
Cytat:
The story defies understanding
A doming to life underground
Crawling to find, frozen with time
The mother who’s since passed away
A life you could only imagine
A son you will never see
Follow your mind, follow your kind
Swallow what’s given away
Never to wonder
Never to roam
Never to sit right beside her
You are forever in bone
A life you could only imagine
A son you will never see
Follow your mind, follow your kind
Swallow what’s given away
Never to wonder
Never to roam
Never to walk right beside her
The two – forever in bone
8. The Whisper
Cytat:
Your wounds hale drained
The message that’s upon you
Hovering and whispering again
The silence in the wind is howling softly
Scenes repeating, beating in your head
Po balladowej zwrotce, znów depnięcie,
Cytat:
The blood that runs in you
It’s river feel towards feelings that remain
Wracamy do balladowej, oszczędnej gitary i silnej sekcji.
Cytat:
The whisper bowling, listening so closely
Beating in your blood and pulse and brain
Wrestling the weight that holds and grounds you
That’s keeping you from figuring your pain
Depnięcie. Refren. Pewnie. Mocno.
Cytat:
The blood that runs in you
River flowing now assumes
It’s likeness of you drains itself away
It’s swiftness turns to you
As frightfulness is now resumed
The freeing feel towards that remain
No i niby kolejne fajna solówka. I znowu ten powtórzony refren.
Do pewnego momentu. Bo potem akcentuje. Ale tak, jakby jej nie było.
Cytat:
It licks it’s wounds as it spreads his tongue – crawl
Head eaching, ears throbbling – crawl
Eyes roll in, breath choking
Eyes throbbling, throat itching
Dokończenie zwrotkowego motywu gitarry (która się przypałętała
In The Meantime) i chwilka ciszy. No i znowu ów motyw.
Cytat:
It bares it’s sking with teeth and grin – crawl
It’s lizard skin is soaking in – crawl
Eyes roll in, breath choking
I tutaj jest już chaos.
Cytat:
Rage, pain, memories rotting it’s brain
Rage, pain, the fractured remains from this Gnat
That won’t let you behave
Średniodługie rozedrgane solo i powrót do tradycyjnej zwrotki.
Cytat:
It keeps it’s head, though it’ lined with dread – crawl
Callous line sin it’s mantra lies – crawl
Eyes roll in, breath chocking
I na outrze (w zasadzie) przychodzi taki Deftonesowy ciężar. Albo ciężar w ogóle.
Cytat:
The line in the Sand
Crossed by scum that steal
Then turn to command
You every turn
Watching your tongue as it chokes
On the words that will burn
Defining the wounds of it’s history
The webs that were carried inside
The winds that blew lines from it’s destiny
It’s sings they were mastered
It’s feelings now plastered
And painted an put to the wall
10. Little Bee
Cytat:
What memories
Lonliness conquering brain
Overbearing me
Reality, certainty, sway
Cytat:
And the truth I knew the truth to be
That without you I was nothing
But a little bee
Floating through the air
And seeing flowers fair
Bu none were you
Spokojnie w drugiej zwrotce.
Cytat:
The lines that I convey
That describe my heart and pain today
Since you went away
Wretchedness, blanketing, pain
Depnięcie, refren, solo, które się wyróżnia. Bo jest niepokojące. Bo ten niepokój świetnie wpasowuje się w utwór. Bo nie każda solówka taka jest.
11. Dear
Balada na koniec. Dużo dobrych płyt kończy się wolnymi utworami o charakterze raczej smutnym. „13 Songs”. „The Shape Of Punk To Come”. „Jane Doe”. Chociaż „Milagrosa” to nie ta liga.
Cytat:
With warm hands you sit turning, the pages you read
And though the words they are burning, ideas you feed
But don’t call me dear, to soothe my fear
A promise of earthly rewards are brought by a compromise
With cold eyes I’ve sat watching, the motion in land
With cold eves I’ve sat knowing, we have no command
I’ve watched clouds that are lining, the rain it will bring
For the washing of refuse that someday we will be
So don’t call me dear, don’t soothe my fear
A promise of earthly rewards
Assuming a compromise
Don’t call me dear to soothe my fear
The words they are burning
The truth it is lurching and killing your fairy tale
In the end I will loose you
That I do know
Perhaps our bodies as refuse
Will feed a flower to grow
Płyta została zadedykowana pamięci Aurory Padrón.
